Description
Scout 2
The versatile Scout 2 is 3-season tent for 2+ people. It is a great option for touring or backpacking if the tent weight is split between individual trampers.
UV Resistant Polyester tent fly
The Scout 2 is ideal if the tent will be used frequently in sunny camping locations or remain pitched for extended periods. In these conditions the polyester tent fly material has superior UV resistance that will extend the life of the tent fly.
It is compact and lightweight, yet has good space
With packed dimensions of 56 cm long x 18 cm diameter the Scout 2 has generous internal proportions which offer greater comfort even during extended stays.
It is easy to set-up
Like all Domex tents, the hub frame design means that the tent is quick and easy for even one person to set up and being free-standing gives flexibility to erect the tent in all types of terrain, with the option of moving campsite before pegging the tent down.
Time to move on
Quick and easy to dismantle and pack up, the Scout 2 is a great option whether you’re parked up for a few days or on the move frequently.
Full of features
The Scout 2 is packed with features including a durable polyester oxford tent floor, air vents for increased airflow and less condensation. It also has generous vestibule space, four storage pockets and a lantern hook plus a mesh inner tent to improve airflow while keeping insects out.
Its multi-use combined with its low price makes the Scout 2 a great value buy.
Why is it a good idea to use a Footprint?
We recommend using the footprint that matches this tent (an optional accessory) to protect your tent floor. It will also make packing up easier and quicker. Any mud and debris will be confined to the footprint, meaning a quick wipe down of the condensation on the bottom of the tent floor is all that is required before rolling the tent up.
- Easy to set-up - The hub-dome design with its inter-connected pole sections enables quick and easy set-up by one person.
- Free-standing design - Gives flexibility in sites with vegetation, uneven, wet or rocky terrain. Because the tent supports itself once the poles are inserted, it is able to be shifted easily (by one person) before it is pegged.
- Easily-identifiable points - Fluro webbing and zip toggles on inner tent plus luminous-fleck on outside zip, guylines and peg loops allow for easy identification in poor light conditions.
- UV Resistant Polyester tent fly - Whilst not as tough as ripstop nylon, the extra UV protection increases the life of the tent fly. Tent fly air vents - increases airflow and reduce condensation. They can easily be closed if necessary.
- Tent fly air vents - Increases airflow and reduce condensation. They can easily be closed if necessary.
- Inner tent made of mesh - Increases airflow and keeps sandflies, mosquitos and other insects out.
- 2 vestibules - Provide generous gear storage space outside the inner tent. They also provide extra weather protection and allow better airflow and ventilation.
- Inner tent storage - 4 pockets (2 double, 2 wall) + hanging lantern hook.
- Optional footprint - Protects the tent floor and makes packing up much easier, quicker and cleaner.
